Cleaning & care

A little care keeps toys safer, longer-lasting, and nicer to use. Follow the guide for your material — when in doubt, check the product page.

Before first use

Wash new toys with warm water and a mild, unscented soap or a toy cleaner. Rinse well and let them air-dry completely before storage.

After every session

  1. Rinse under warm (not boiling) water.
  2. Wash with toy cleaner or mild soap — avoid harsh chemicals.
  3. Rinse again and dry with a clean lint-free cloth or air-dry.
  4. Store in a clean pouch, away from direct sun and extreme heat.

By material

Body-safe silicone

Compatible with water-based lubricants. Avoid silicone-based lubes unless the product specifically says they’re safe together. Most solid silicone toys can go in boiling water for a few minutes if they have no motors or ports — never boil anything electronic.

ABS, metal & glass

Usually easy to wipe clean. Glass and stainless steel may be boiled when the maker allows it. Check for seams, coatings, or electronics first.

Porous materials (TPE, jelly, some elastomers)

These need a condom barrier for shared use and gentler cleaning. Don’t share without protection, and replace them sooner if they discolor or tear.

Lubricants

Water-based lubes are the safest default with most toys. Oil-based products can weaken latex condoms. Patch-test new lubes on skin if you’re sensitive.

Charging & water

Only submerge toys rated waterproof (look for IPX7 or similar). Always dry charging ports before plugging in. Don’t charge while in use or while wet.
